From the trail to the street, these hiking boots are comfortable and worth their weight in gold.
I used them a lot for trail hiking in the summer time. They are very light weight and very comfortable.
I bought a second pair to keep in reserve. They are that good.
Cons: They eyelets could use some re-enforced stitching to make them more durable but that is the only issue after about a year of use, they have not failed me yet.
The tread is a medium wear type, not too soft, not too hard so it will wear through in a season with heavy use but being under $100 that is not a problem for the comfort level it provides you on the trail.

Been buying these things since my first pair about 3 years ago. They are the lightest and most comfortable pair of shoes with an awesome fit. I love 'em. Actually, they are my primary shoe receiving about 99% of all my shoe wearing all year round. I have a nice clean pair for play, a dirty pair for work and I just bought a third pair to alternate with the "play" pair. Seriously, I hope they never stop making these things.
There's one negative. The quality of the build is not always the best. Don't be surprised if you have some glue or stitch give. But honestly, I love the fit and feel so much, I deal with it and fix them myself if / when it's a problem. And don't throw them in the washing machine. They can't handle it.
For the most comfortable shoe I have ever found (and I've tried several) these get 5 stars with no reservation.

I tried on the Merrell Moab Mid Boots and they felt like a glove. They were so comfortable that I bought them just to wear anywhere. I used them on hikes to Cystal Cove, Catalina Island and to Half-Dome, which was an 18-mile hike and climb to the top with of a granite face. The boots performed without a hitch. They were light and snug with a sole that was soft and gripped well.
I would recommed these boots for anyone doing any light hiking with a pack of less than 30 lbs. My foot is medium wide and usually I wear a size 9. The boots ran small and I purchased a size 10, which fits perfectly.

Get ready to tackle any terrain. This is my second set of Merrell Moab Ventilators. They are comfortable right out of the box. My second pair got broken in on Mt. Wilson in Sedona Arizona. If you are a serious hiker, then gives these shoes a try.
